Best Fans in the SEC? Yep, I think so.
After reading this quote on many of friends facebook accounts, I had to post.
“When we heard of the Auburn fans chanting at the end of Fridays game “its great to be an auburn tiger” we knew there was something special about the excitement around this football team. The tigers have everything we are looking for in a New Year’s Day team. They are a tough, exciting team, extremely well coached and have what might be the best fans in college football”
Jim McVay, Outback Bowl President/CEO
Let me say that there is no source just yet, but the RUMOR is that came from an e-mail sent out to AU employees.
We are not in the business of gossip, but whether Jim McVay said it or not- we are the best fans in the SEC.

Auburn's Bowl Game Down Under?
We aren't headed down-under, but we may just be headed to the Outback. WVLT in Knoxville and CBS42 in Birmingham report the Outback Bowl selected Auburn, and it looks like we will be taking on Wisconsin on January 1st in Tampa, Florida.
If the unofficial announcement proves true, the top five SEC bowl slots have been determined:
BCSC: Alabama/Florida
BCS: Alabama/Florida
Capital One: LSU
Cotton: Ole Miss
Outback: Auburn
The SEC bowl selections will not be official until December 6th, after the SEC Championship Game. But, there is a reason why out of the SIX teams with 7-5 records Outback chose Auburn. Auburn fans are loyal and loyalty means filled seats and purchased tickets.
