Texting Behind the Wheel
Carrie Williams
October 26, 2009
AAA has started a nationwide campaign this week to pass federal and state laws banning text messaging while driving in all 50 states by 2013. But as for Alabama, the recently introduced "text-message while driving" bill that passed in the House, hit a red light in the Senate last session. According to Auburn Public Safety Director, Bill James, "regulating text-messaging while driving would be nearly impossible to enforce; it's not a realistic law."

I have no “ax to grind” with men. In fact, I am the president of their fan club. I have not been wronged or mistreated by the men in my life nor had a boyfriend to have a brutal break-up with. And, of course, I do not believe every testosterone-filled individual embodies the following characteristics; I am simply recounting an unfortunate pattern I have had to witness.
