Drinking Local

Over the holiday break, I wanted to try and eat local but then I thought- can I drink local? The answer was definitively YES!
Here is my adventure on a vineyard and winery a short drive from my house!

I know you all Auburn students don't call the Lonestar State home, but you can drink local too. There are 10 family owned vineyards and wineries in Alabama.
Here is a great link to look up one near you:

But why bother drinking locally?
Keeping your support and your dollars close to home is always best for your states economy. According to a study by the New Economics Foundation in London, a dollar spent locally generates twice as much income for the local economy.
My glass of Cabernet was the best I have had, so give local a shot and uncork the grape closest to you!
