7 days!

Hey guys, it is only 7 days until the first Eagle Eye meeting and I wanted to blog and tell you how excited we are about the new season.
It really is out with the old and in with the new this year and we want you to be apart of it. We have new equipment and new abilities and my personal favorite - we have a new awesome website -thanks to our amazing director that is.
All the new toys are great, but what staff is most excited about it seeing all the reporters in a week. We are working really hard to make sure that this year, everyone takes a story and learns how exciting, fun and challenging being a reporter is!
The amazing thing about Eagle Eye is that you get to learn everything- shooting, reporting, anchoring, writing and editing. If you are an RTVF major, you know as well as we do. There is not enough hands-on experience in our classes, but Eagle Eye can really serve as way to find your voice and style as a reporter.
Taking a story can be nerve-racking. We know that and we have all felt that. Heck, Carrie, the station manager, and I were talking this week how we still feel intimated by our first story this season.
My advice is dive in. Get over your head because that is the only way to really learn. We are here to help and we want to make this the best broadcast possible, so we will do anything to make you feel comfortable.
I seriously cannot wait to see all you. And this website rocks. War Eagle Eye!
