Eufaula Pilgrimage

The Forty-Fifth Annual Eufaula Pilgrimage took place this weekend, drawing in tourists from all over the country. All proceeds of the home and garden tours go directly to the Eufaula Heritage Association, an organization founded to preserve historical homes in Eufaula. The weekend also included an art show, ghost walk, concerts, "Tales from the Tomb," picnics, book signings, and a Civil War encampment. Countless volunteers make the Pilgrimage a success each year, and many of the women and girls dress up in antebellum dresses. There is also a Pilgrimage Pageant held in advance to crown a queen and two princesses to be official hostesses for the event. I give you an inside look into the Pilgrimage that only a native Eufaulian could!
