Auburn Head Coach Jeff Lebo has been dismissed from the men’s basketball team. The announcement came Friday from Auburn Athletics Director Jay Jacobs.

"I want to thank Coach Lebo for all that he has done for Auburn University over the past six years," Jacobs said. "Coach Lebo has worked hard and has always represented Auburn with character, class and integrity. However, we feel like the time has come for Auburn basketball to move in a new direction. We deeply appreciate all that he and his staff have done for Auburn, and we wish each of them and their families nothing but the best."

Sunday, March 7, Auburn greek organizations, AXΩ & ΠKA, hosted their 5th annual "Dodge Domestic Violence" philanthropy Dodgeball Tournament. More than 50 teams of students and locals in the Auburn community went head to head in the Dodgeballl tournament-smack-down, raising over $3,000 from team participants and attendees.

All proceeds raised from the dodgeball event contributed toward the Domestic Violence Intervention Center of Opelika.

Auburn played well with Waller scoring 22 points and Knox picking up 21 to lead Auburn to an 89-80 win over Mississippi State on Wednesday night in a game where the five seniors accounted for all but 11 of the Tigers' points. Auburn also said goodbye to Beard-Eaves on Wednesday night with a special post game ceremony. Former players, coaches, and fans were in attendance at the game. Watch the video for more.

In a special run-off election, Kurt Sasser won 57% of the vote becoming the next SGA President at Auburn University. Right after the victory Sassor said "I've never experienced anything like this in my life...The face should describe it all. I’m in shock, I’m excited." Eagle Eye News was there for the announcement and celebration.

Michael Wekall and Ryan Leander take you along for their journey to get a hug from Taylor Swift. They have been using social media like Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube to help spread the word about their goal. Their Facebook group currently has over 1600 members and growing. Last week, they also went out with our camera crew to practice hugging and continue filming their flip camera documentary. Kristi MaGahee, whose platform is P.A.W.S. (Plainsmen in Action for Wounded Soldiers), was just announced the 2010 Miss Auburn. As Miss Auburn, she will serve as the official hostess for Auburn University, and continue to promote her platform throughout the community.

Ashley Nichols, with 69% of the vote, was elected SGA Vice President over Brandon Gillespie.

Spencer Moore, who ran unopposed will serve as the 2010 SGA Treasurer.
