UPC Presents: Open Mic Night
Auburn University's University Program Council (UPC) put on a campus 'talent show' at the Starbucks in the Student Center. Stand-up Comedians, poets, and musicians all came out to show their talents to the local Auburn students. Over 20 people performed for the entertainment of their fellow Tigers!
As the event continued into the night, the audience continued to grow; eventually filling the entire Starbuck's foyer. UPC representative Glendinning Johnston talks about the importance of putting on small events like 'Open Mic Night' to unify the school's community, as well as giving the talented youth somewhere to showcase their abilities!

Auburn Flash Mob Rave
In the last few moments before Finals officially arrived, Auburn students piled into RBD Library for a "Flash Mob Rave." Complete with techno music, glowsticks, costumes, and even Aubie, this rave was hot! Literally. We steamed up the windows. After the music ran out, students broke out into Auburn cheers and chants. As one student put it, "War Damn Rave!"
Rudy Giuliani Press Conference
Rudy Giuliani, former mayor of New York City, gave a speech on "Leadership in the Face of Change and Crisis" at Auburn University today. Giuliani was the first speaker to be brought to Auburn by SGA's 'Perspective on the Plains' lecture series. Before he addressed the crowd in Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum, Giuliani held a press conference. He took the opportunity to talk about his personal experiences as a leader, 9/11, and his thoughts on the ongoing fight against terrorism. Eagle Eye has the exclusive footage.

Miracles of Music
Miss Auburn University, Rebecca Hart, organized a concert benefiting Children's Miracle Network while promoting music in the Auburn community. The money raised from tickets will go to Columbus Regional Hospital, which is part of Children's Miracle Network. Rebecca performed alongside other Auburn students, and took time during the concert to talk about her platform, Music Matters. Her platform emphasizes the importance of music education in schools. Rebecca will be competing in Miss Alabama this Summer, while continuing to represent Auburn University.
